Interview with Dr. Delorme and more from IPAC Saskatchewan

- by Chris Malnyk

In support of IPAC National's Year of Dialogue in 2017, the IPAC Saskatchewan Regional Group will be publishing a series of interviews, articles, and hosting live events that will provide a means to tell stories and build relationships between indigenous and non-indigenous peoples in a spirit of recognition, respect, and partnership.

IPAC Saskatchewan will be focused throughout the year on creating dialogue around the following question that IPAC National has posed:  "How can we, as a public administration community, transform ourselves and in the spirit of reconciliation, support better relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous governments and peoples?"  In particular, we want to gain both a personal understanding of the history of residential schools and the legacy that this has created as well as insights into how to positively move forward as both public administration professionals and as Canadians.

Starting off our series is an interview with Dr. Marie Delorme.  Dr. Delorme,  in her direct and highly positive manner, provides her thoughts on the legacy of residential schools and what needs to be done to move forward.

All of IPAC Saskatchewan's future interviews and stories will be published to the ImPACt SK website:

So, stay tuned for more insight on the Year of Dialogue along with future announcements on live events that will be held in Saskatchewan.
